What ala.menu is, and who runs on it

ala.menu gives restaurants and cloud kitchens a menu, link in bio and ordering in minutes: from a PDF or photos, in your brand, no designer, in Arabic or English. Orders arrive on WhatsApp or your checkout at 0% commission, paid by cash, Whish, OMT or card, and every customer, promo code and loyalty card stays yours. Free to start, from Beirut.

Used by The Protein Bar, six of Fakhani Gourmet’s branches, Yoki Sushi in Baghdad, Pegasus Pet Center in Beirut and Accra, and Joy Beirut.

Free, no card; ordering and payments on Plus from $49 a location.

A restaurant digital menu on a phone

Twelve things owners ask for, and who proves each

“I need a menu today and I can’t afford a designer.”

Send a PDF, photos or a text and the AI builds the menu in minutes, in your colours and type, with a QR. Free. Babylon in Basra built its own menu on the free plan.

“I need my Instagram link to sell, not just show a PDF.”

One link in your bio opens the live menu, takes the WhatsApp order and shows hours, map, call and every branch. Free; reviews and offer blocks on Plus. Fakhani Gourmet runs six of its branches from one brand Page.

“The delivery app takes a cut and keeps my customer.”

Orders on your own link at 0% commission on every plan, including Free; the customer’s phone, address and history stay in your list. The Protein Bar, Yoki Sushi and Fakhani Gourmet take their orders this way.

“My customers order on WhatsApp anyway.”

The diner builds the cart on the menu and the order lands in your WhatsApp with items, sizes, total and address written out, re-priced and logged on the server. Free. Harbs Bakery takes its orders this way.

“I want real online ordering with delivery fees by area.”

A checkout on your own page with delivery priced by named area, ring, drawn shape or postal code, a fee and minimum per zone, scheduled orders, a live order board, and a kitchen ticket on Telegram. On Plus. Yoki Sushi prices 127 Baghdad areas.

“I need to take Whish, OMT and card payments.”

Cash, a Whish, OMT, MoMo or bank transfer you confirm, Whish Pay, or cards through your own bank or gateway; the money never passes through us. On Plus. The Protein Bar takes cards through CyberSource; Pegasus Pet Center, a pet shop, takes MoMo in Accra.

“I don’t own my customers.”

Every order writes a customer row: name, a phone you can call, orders, spend, last order and full history. On Plus; CSV export on Pro.

“My customers don’t come back.”

Promo codes and automatic offers by day and hour on Plus; coupons for named customers and a loyalty card in Apple Wallet and Google Wallet on Pro. Yoki Sushi takes 10% off daily 11:00 to 16:00; Harbs Bakery gives $10 off every 5 orders.

“I want more Google reviews.”

After the order the menu asks for a review and sends the diner to your Google listing, or collects it privately, or both; you pick one mode for everyone. On Plus. Fakhani Gourmet shows its Google reviews on its brand Page.

“I need a QR that doesn’t break when I change prices.”

One QR printed once, pointing at a short address allocated once and never reissued. Free; your logo on it and table service up to 500 tables on Plus. The Protein Bar runs 12 tables a branch.

“Arabic menus always look broken.”

Arabic reads right to left natively with a real Arabic webfont, free as your base language; a switcher across 21 languages on Plus. Yoki Sushi runs its menu Arabic first.

“I want what the big brands have.”

An AI waiter in the diner’s language and dialect that fills the cart, from 50 conversations a month on Plus; one dashboard for every branch; POS sync by API on Business. The Protein Bar and Yoki Sushi run the AI waiter; Pegasus Pet Center syncs from its till.

Who it is not for

A stall that only needs a WhatsApp number

If a phone number and a photo of the price list already do the job, you do not need a menu system. The free plan is there when you do.

A group that needs a till and a kitchen display today

ala.menu is not a POS and has no kitchen display or printer: orders reach the kitchen on the order board, Telegram or WhatsApp, and a POS syncs prices and stock by API on Business.

ala.menu, answered

What is ala.menu?

ala.menu gives restaurants and cloud kitchens a menu, link in bio and ordering in minutes: from a PDF or photos, in your brand, no designer, in Arabic or English. Orders arrive on WhatsApp or your checkout at 0% commission, paid by cash, Whish, OMT or card, and every customer, promo code and loyalty card stays yours. Free to start, from Beirut.

Which restaurants use ala.menu?

The Protein Bar (two Beirut branches, cards and the AI waiter), Fakhani Gourmet (six of its Beirut branches on one brand Page), Yoki Sushi (a Baghdad cloud kitchen, 127 priced areas), Harbs Bakery (WhatsApp orders and loyalty in Beirut), Pegasus Pet Center (a pet shop in Beirut and Accra, synced from its till), and Joy Beirut. Babylon in Basra runs on the free plan. Every client is listed on the restaurants page with a live link.

How much does Toters take, and how much do I keep here?

Toters does not publish a merchant rate card; regional press reports 15 to 30% of order value for this category. On ala.menu you keep the whole order: 0% commission on every plan, including Free. Many owners keep the app for new customers and take their regulars direct.

Can my customers order from my Instagram link?

Yes. The link in your bio opens the live menu, the diner builds the order, and it arrives in your WhatsApp written out. Free, at 0% commission. Your own website checkout is Plus.

Can I take Whish and OMT? Can diners pay by card?

Yes, on Plus. Cash; a Whish, OMT, MoMo or bank transfer the diner sends and you confirm; Whish Pay; and cards through your own account with Stripe, CyberSource (NetCommerce or any bank), Areeba or PayPal. The money goes to you, never through us. Plus is $49 a location a month.

Do I keep my customers’ numbers?

Yes. Every order writes a customer row with a phone you can call, the order history and the spend, on Plus. Export it as CSV on Pro. It is your list, not ours.

Does it integrate with my POS?

By API on Business: prices, stock, names and photos sync from your POS to the menu. There is no ready-made connector for a named POS brand such as Foodics, and orders are not written back to the till.

What does it cost?

Free is $0 with no card: the menu, QR, link in bio and WhatsApp orders. Plus is $49 a location a month, Pro $99, Business $199 for the first location and $99 for each after. 0% commission on every plan.
