Order direct in Baghdad and Iraq, without the delivery app commission

Keep Talabat and Toters for the stranger who has never heard of you, and give the regular who already knows your name your own menu to order from: a link in your bio and a QR on the table, at 0% commission against platform cuts the Iraqi Restaurants Association put at up to 27%. The order arrives in your WhatsApp free, or on your own checkout on Plus, priced by Baghdad area, paid in cash or a transfer to the bank or wallet you name.

Yoki Sushi, a Baghdad cloud kitchen, runs its Arabic-first menu, 127 priced areas and an AI waiter in Iraqi Arabic on ala.menu; Babylon in Basra built its own menu on the free plan.

Plus $49 a location a month, 0% commission.

The second order is the one worth keeping

0% commission, every order, every plan

Including Free. The money moves between you and whoever you take payment with, and gateway fees go straight to the gateway.

Keep the app for discovery

A marketplace is how a stranger finds you, and that is worth paying for. What is not worth paying for is the regular who already knows your name paying you 15 to 30% less than they used to.

Your own link

ala.menu/yourname, or your own domain on Pro. Your colours, your logo, your photos, your counter prices instead of delivery pricing.

Cash, or a transfer to the bank or wallet you name

Cash on delivery, or a transfer to the bank or wallet you name: the customer sends, you confirm, and the order is only paid when you say so. No card gateway is wired for IQD, and the page says so.

The customer comes with the order

Name, phone, what they ordered, what they spent, when they last came. On a marketplace all of that stays in the marketplace.

Nothing to install, for anyone

The diner opens a link. You open a dashboard. Nobody downloads an app for one restaurant.

Live in three steps

1. Send the menu you have

A PDF, a photo of the printed menu, or a list. The AI builder types it up, free, with no quota.

2. Turn on cash and transfer

Add the bank or wallet the customer should send to. They send, you confirm, the order moves.

3. Share the link and the QR

On the tables, in your bio, in your status. Orders come to your page or into WhatsApp.

Iraq, spelled out

Delivery aggregators
Talabat Iraq, Toters (Baghdad and Erbil), Lezzoo (Erbil first), Talabatey, Baly and Alsaree3.
What they take
The Iraqi Restaurants Association put platform commissions at up to 27% of order value, the grievance behind the three-day Baghdad restaurant strike of 2026-04-30, reported by 964 Media. That ceiling is the solid figure. The per-app splits that circulate are soft, so they are not on this page.
Our commission
0% per order, on Free, Plus and Pro alike.
Payment rails you can switch on
Cash on delivery, and a transfer to the bank or wallet you name, where the customer sends and you confirm. No online card gateway is wired for IQD in this product.
Currency
Iraqi dinar, printed whole. ISO 4217 calls it a three-decimal currency; this product deliberately does not, because prices here circulate in whole dinars. A 15,000-dinar item shows as 15,000.
Languages
Arabic with full native RTL, and English. Kurdish is not one of the 21 languages. Publishing the menu in Arabic is free; a diner-facing language switcher, with AI translation, is Plus.
Price
Plus $49 a location a month, Pro $99, Free to start; 0% commission on every plan.

What is commission actually costing you?

Put in your own numbers. This is the cut a delivery app takes before you pay for food, staff, or rent.

Lost per month

$1,620

Lost per year

$19,440

An estimate from the numbers you entered. Commission on ala.menu is 0% on every plan, including Free.

A delivery app keeps your customer. Here the customer is yours.

On an aggregator the guest belongs to the app. The number, the name and the order history sit in their account, and reaching that same guest again means paying for them again. On a menu you own, all of it stays with you.

Customers

Every order writes a customer row: name, phone, how many orders, what they spent, when they last ordered. Open one and the full order history is there, with a phone number you can actually call. On Plus.

CSV export

Export the whole list, or only the customers who agreed to hear from you, with orders, spend, and first and last order dates. It is your list, in a file, whenever you want it. On Pro.

Promo codes

Bring a guest back with a code you set yourself: a percentage, a fixed amount, or free delivery. It can apply on its own, be limited to a first order, or be usable once per phone number. On Plus.

Reviews

The rating and the written feedback come to you. You choose the mode: collect privately, send diners to your Google listing, or do both. On Plus.

Loyalty

A punch card that rewards every few orders, or a reward at a spend milestone, with the card saved in Apple and Google Wallet. Website orders stamp themselves; walk-ins and WhatsApp orders you stamp. On Pro.

Analytics

Menu views, unique visitors, the most tapped item, orders, the view-to-order rate, and the funnel from a view to a placed order. On Plus.

Iraq, answered

How much do delivery apps take in Iraq?

The Iraqi Restaurants Association put it at up to 27% of order value, which was the grievance behind the three-day Baghdad restaurant strike on 2026-04-30, as reported by 964 Media. Individual per-app rates circulate but are not reliably sourced, so we do not print them. An order on your own page costs 0%, on every plan.

Do prices print as whole dinars?

Yes. ISO 4217 classifies the Iraqi dinar as a three-decimal currency, and this product deliberately does not follow that, because Iraqi prices circulate whole. An item priced at 15,000 shows as 15,000, not 15,000.000. On every plan.

Can customers pay by wallet or bank transfer?

Yes: a transfer to the bank or wallet you name, which you confirm before the order moves. Cash on delivery works too. No card gateway is wired for IQD. The transfer option on your checkout and in the WhatsApp order message is on Plus.

Can I price every Baghdad area differently?

Yes, on Plus. Pick your delivery areas from a ready list of about 15,000 towns and neighbourhoods in Iraq, each already drawn on the map, and give each its own fee and minimum order. An address outside your areas cannot place a delivery order. Yoki Sushi prices 127 Baghdad areas this way.

Does the AI waiter speak Iraqi?

Yes. It replies in the language of the diner’s last message, Arabic script, Arabizi or English, and in Arabic it uses the dialect of your restaurant’s country, so Iraqi in Baghdad. It answers from your menu and fills the cart; the diner places the order. On Plus with 50 conversations a month per menu, more on Pro and Business. Yoki Sushi runs it on its Baghdad menu.

Can I keep Talabat and use this too?

Yes. Nothing here is exclusive. Keep the app for customers who find you there, and take your regulars on your own link and WhatsApp at 0% commission, where their number and order history stay in your list.

Is Kurdish supported?

No. Kurdish is not among the 21 languages this product translates into, and we are not going to imply otherwise. Arabic and English are both fully supported, Arabic with real right-to-left rendering.

Do you have restaurants live in Iraq?

Yes. Yoki Sushi, a cloud kitchen in Baghdad, has taken its delivery orders on ala.menu since September 2026: a website checkout paid in cash, delivery priced by Baghdad area, the menu in Arabic first. In Basra, Babylon, a restaurant and cafe, built its own menu on the free plan.

What does it cost?

The menu, your Page and WhatsApp ordering are free, with no card and no trial. Website ordering with delivery areas, payments and the AI waiter is Plus; a custom domain and loyalty are Pro. Plus is $49 a location a month and Pro $99. No plan takes a commission.

Keep the discovery. Keep the margin too.
